Thank you for your interest in Accreditation. Due to the ongoing pandemic, the Accreditation
Committee is moving forward with only Virtual Site Visits at this time. While making every effort
to keep our site inspectors and OM host personnel safe, we must also strive to make virtual site
visits as comprehensive and productive as an in-person visit. Please review the following

The AAUS Accreditation Program is based on 3 metrics:
1. The Organizational Member completes all administrative requirements for membership (paying
dues and signing the annual membership agreement, maintaining a current Diving Safety
Manual on the AAUS website, submitting annual statistics, etc.)
2. Maintaining minimum active status requirements for the Diving Safety Officer (DSO) by
attending a DSO Orientation and / or attending annual AAUS Symposiums.
3. Completing a site visit and meeting the minimum requirements for Accredited Status.
